TAG! You're It!

The fairytastic Summer Ross @ My Inner Fairy tagged me three weeks ago with this tagging game playing around the blogosphere. Feel free to continue the game if you wish!
Do you think you're hot?
It’s been 90˚ this entire week. I’m definitely hot. You could fry an egg on my sweaty skin. Though I don’t know why you’d want to do that.
Upload a picture or wall paper you are using at the moment.
Heehee! It’s a photo of my husband when we went snorkeling in beautiful Hanauma Bay (pronounced Ha-now-ma) on our honeymoon:

When was the last time you ate chicken meat?
Yesterday for dinner! Chicken is my favorite meat. I could probably give up eating meat for the rest of my life except for chicken. I’d never be able to give up chicken, no siree.
List the song(s) you listened to recently.
I have my iPod on my summer tunes playlist and the last 5 songs I heard were:
On the Floor by Jennifer Lopez
Pure Shores by All Saints
Cheeseburger in Paradise by Jimmy Buffett
Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid
Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard
What were you thinking as you were doing this?
I'm hungry for breakfast!

Do you have nicknames? What are they?
Lowi, Loey, Lo, Lolo. It’s what my parents called me when I was a child. When I got older it embarrassed me because it sounded so babyish. Then in 7th grade two of my friends (who are now my husband and brother-in-law) heard my mom call me by the nickname and they started calling me that, too. And it stuck forever. By everyone. Good thing I like it now!
Tag eight Blogger friends.
TAG! You’re it!!! If you’re not familiar with the following eight lovelies, be sure to check out their blog links! (PS. Dear Taggees: You don't have to play the tag game; I just wanted people to know how scrumdiddlyumptious you are!)
1. Bluestocking @ The Bluestocking Blog
2. MM the Queen of English @ The Queen of English Blog
4. J. L. Campbell @ The Character Depot
5. Roxane Beauclair Salonen @ Peace Garden Writer
6. Julie Dao @ Silver Lining
7. Rachna Chhabria @ Rachna’s Scriptorium
8. Susanne Drazic @ Putting Words on Paper
Who's listed at number 1?
Bluestocking! She’s a mysterious blogger. I know three things about her, though: she’s married, she’s a homeowner, and she’s a terrific writer! She posts on Wednesdays and is working hard at her writing career, which is off to a great start: She recently had two stories accepted for publication!
Say something about number 5.
I’m pretty sure Roxane is Ms. Marvel by night. Because by day she’s a newspaper columnist, an award-winning children’s book author, a freelance writer, has started her own writing business called Beauclair Communications, maintains three blogs*, is super active in her community and church, AND is a wife and mother of five kids. I know, right: Where does she find the time? I’m telling you, it must have something to do with being Ms. Marvel.
How did you get to know number 3?
Saumya was one of my first blog buddies! She’s up there with the sweetest bloggers in the blogosphere, and her thoughtful posts stick with me throughout the week. We have a lot in common, such as our love for the Beauty and the Beast library and all things office supplies!
How about number 4?
I discovered the fabulous J. L. Campbell through the A to Z Blogging Challenge. She’s published two novels: Contraband released last year and Dissolution released this month!
Leave a message for number 6.
Julie, you’re a wonderful writer and I can not wait to read your future novels!!!
Leave a lovey-dovey message for number 2.
LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! That’s the best I got since we met through the A to Z Blogging Challenge only a month ago. I don’t want to push things too fast too soon.
Do number 7 and number 8 have any similarities?
Sure. Rachna and Susanne are terrific writers and thoughtful bloggers and wonderful word nerds!
Be sure to check out those amazing blogs! Happy weekend, Zigzaggers!!!

Wow, your husband is sure good-looking! But, I'm sure you knew that. Great list of songs as well. I haven't listened to Ocean Avenue in a long time. I should download it. Great answers.

Laura, you are such a sweetheart! Thanks for that encouraging message *huggles* I loved reading your answers. Your hubby is cute, I also had chicken last night for dinner, and I love that you listened to the Little Mermaid on your iPod! My mom just bought me the Beauty and the Beast DVD so I'm all about "Be Our Guest" - lol. Thanks for tagging me, I'll definitely play! Have a great weekend :)

Your hubby is hot (probably more so thanks to the temperatures you're having). :D

I have that JLo song on my playlist too.

Nice to know a little more about you! I can't complain about the heat, becasue all the time I was shoveling 4 feet of snow, I prayed for hot hot hot weather. So, maybe you can blame it on me!

Hi, Laura,

I've discovered a few more things about you today. Gotta get on this. This is the second time I've been tagged with these same questions.

Have a great weekend!

Clarissa- Thanks! I sure do know it. :) I love Yellowcard; I have 3 of their CDs (actually, they're my husband's haha!) and I like listening to them on shuffle.

Laura- I hope you liked them!

Julie- Love that movie! I just got "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" on DVD before it went back into the Disney vault. Do not like that they do that! I wish all the Disney movies were released all the time.

Stina- LoL, thanks! I can't wait to tell him about all these nice compliments he's getting. And I love JLo's new CD. :)

Thomasina- I'd live at Hanauma Bay if I could!

Talli- Mmmm! Fried, grilled, whatever. I just love chicken!

Katie- LoL! Not to take anything from my hubby, but I love the gorgeous Bay background too!

S.A.- Thank you! I think it's fun learning more about my bloggy buds too. :)

Lee- I know it's been everywhere! And yes, I enjoy all kinds of music. I have a little of everything on my iPod.

Lisa- LoL, actually I love the heat too!!! I'd choose summer over winter almost every time. It's the humidity I'm too crazy about though.

J.L.- Ooo yay! You should give it a go. It's fun!

Rachna- You're right, it is kind of like school haha!

Misha- Thanks so much, that's a really sweet thing to say! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!

Laura, what a fun welcome back to the world of blogging. You are awesome. I feel all full of love -- and I really needed that. It's hard to transition back from the peace of a monastery to real life, but slowly, I'm getting the hang of living in the real world again. It was amazing, though! Thanks again for the awesome thoughts and have a super duper weekend!!! I hope you feel the love there coming from here.

Thanks so much for this, Laura! I'm traveling right now, but plan to get on this next week. I've gotten a lot of traffic to my blog this week because of you, so thank you again for thinking of me.

Have a great weekend!

Now that you've shared your love of chicken, all I can think is--grilled chicken wings dripping with Pete's hot sauce. Mmmm..... Fun post!

Summer- Thanks for tagging me! This was fun. :)

Roxane- I'm glad you enjoyed your writing retreat! Hope your have a fantastic week!

Bluestocking- I'm glad people are checking out your terrific blog! Hope you have a great week!

Ali- Haha, thanks! Usually just my mom calls me Lolo these days; my friends call me Lowi or Lo! I've known my husband since kindergarten actually and we became friends in 2nd grade. :)

Jill- Mmmm, now that's all I want for dinner tonight!!!
