Q is for Quiz!

No worries, this is a survey not a quiz! I just needed a Q word, heehee. I’ve never made one of these surveys before, but I always have fun answering them when others do. There are 12 questions in all: nine asking what you read and what you write and three questions just for fun. :)

Care to share how you answered some of the questions in the comments? I hope you’re having a wonderful week, Zigzaggers!

I accidentally answered question #1 wrong.

Also, I'm curious to know if anyone selects "I don't read" for #8.

If only all the quizzes I'd ever taken were this easy and fun. Anyhow, this quiz made me think a bit more about who my intended audience is, and what kind of an audience I am when it comes to reading.

I took it but some answers i could have put either. Like I'll read and prefer past or present tense - it's more about the writing. :)

Fun!

I found some of the questions difficult to answer! I like to read most any genre in any point of view or tense. I will write in the POV the story needs to be written from as well as in any tense. Though I seem to prefer writing middle grades, I also like the challenge of writing for young adults and adults. My favorite color is the rainbow... to narrow it down to just one is not fair. :)

I learned a lot from the quiz. Interesting questions. Why the color questions?

Just did the quiz - it was good fun, and the results were interesting :-)

I agree with some of the other commenters that I like to read and write both past and present tense, so that bit was tricky. The colour question was the hardest, though. That varies depending on my mood!

Wow, look at all of that support for reading and writing in the first person POV! I chose third person limited for both :)

Fun quiz! I hesitate over third person limited and 1st person both as a reader and as a writer . . .I like both. It depend on the story, the characters, etc . . .I almost want to re-write my current WIP in 1st, but I have more than one POV character, and I have never been a fan of hopping POVs in 1st person.

Love the quiz, Laura! It's nice to meet you, and I'm completely impressed that you've done AtoZ TWO years in a row.

(I'm worried that year 1 might kill me!)

This was so fun! :D The points of view and genre questions were especially interesting. Also, I discovered I don't snack when I write. When I read or watch TV, I'll get something to eat, but I realized that when I'm actually writing, I don't eat. Weird.

I have a hard time resisting surveys. I seem to be pretty much in the norm on most of the answers.
I may have to try some surveys on my blog one day.

M.J.- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! I sure hope no one selects that answer!! That would make me so so sad for them! Non-readers are missing out big time. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Cynthia- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! That's great! I'm glad this survey is helpful in some way. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Laura- I like either tense as well, but I prefer third!

Dana- Thank you!!

Bish- You could have selected more than one in the genre questions! I mentioned that in the question, LoL. I allowed only one selection for the POV questions because I already know everyone likes both tenses. But I wanted to see what everyone liked the best!

Clarissa- Just for fun! I'm curious which colors writers like the most, I guess. :)

A.F.E.- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! I allowed only one selection for the POV questions because I already know everyone likes both tenses. But I wanted to see what everyone liked the best! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Julie- I chose third person limited for both, too! I'm not surprised most people prefer first person, though. That always seems to be the popular choice. I like it, sure, but I prefer reading and writing in third person!

Tyrean- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! I allowed only one selection for the POV questions because I already know everyone likes both tenses. But I wanted to see what everyone liked the best! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Susanne- Thanks!

Jenny- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! It won't kill you, I promise! It's a lot less overwhelming the second year, too, because you already know what to expect! And you can adjust your plan on how to approach against what did or didn't work the previous year. Thanks for stopping and commenting!

Shelley- I don't snack when I write either. I always have a glass of water, but no snacks! I'm too busy writing!

Lee- Yes, do so! Surveys are fun. I like answering them on other people's blogs. :)

That was fun. I prefer to write and read 3rd person limited.

That was fun.

I cheated on the favorite color question. I picked brown so I wouldn't have to pick just one.

Fun post! I was torn between a book blurb from King or one from Rowling! Oh, such problems to have! :)

And I don't snack when I write - I drink water or coffee or tea.

Happy A-Z!

This is awesome Laura! Love the questions and it was so fun to look back and see everyone's answers. Those surveys are so fun to make, huh? Good idea for Q!

A lot of people picked blue! Yes, I was dark - I picked black.

Had to pick other for genre since YA wasn't listed.

Great quiz. Fun.

I'm pleased to see how many people read is multiple genres! :)

Stephen- I prefer 3rd person limited, too!

Kelly- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! LoL, that's okay! I actually like the color brown. It's so warm and cozy! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

Madeline- Hello and welcome to Wavy Lines! I don't snack while I wrote either. I drink water! I'm too busy writing to eat anything while doing it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

Leigh- I know! This was the first survey I made and it was a lot of fun! I like taking them, too. :)

Diane- Oooo, I guess that wasn't clear for some people. You write contemporary, though, right? I think that specific genre was a choice. To me, YA and MG is more an audience than a genre. That's why I included the question what age group do you write for! So I'm assuming you selected teenage girls or boys. :) I knew blue and purple would be the most popular colors, haha. Mine is orange but I think only one other person chose orange, too, LoL.

Teresa- Thanks!!

Jemi- I am too!! I'm relieved no one chose I don't read. That would be horrible!!
